Scholarships Application to Attend the Couchiching Summer Conference

In the spring, Couchiching offers scholarship opportunities for individuals interested in participating in the Summer Conference. Scholarships are intended to keep registration fees low, to defray travel and accommodation costs wherever possible and enable active engagement at both the conference and with the Institute throughout the year.

Applicants are asked to complete a Scholarship Application form and to include:

  • proof of enrollment (e.g. student number) if applicable;
  • expression of interest in public affairs in general and the conference topic in particular;
  • indication of how you will get involved with groups/communities to promote the Institute’s mandate of engaging Canadians in public affairs, thus promoting an active and participatory citizenry (“involvement” extends to membership or leadership in various groups, writing articles, teaching, etc.); and
  • current résumé

Scholarships are generously supported by The Kurt Swinton/Aczel Scholarship Fund which is funded by the contributions of our generous members and supporters.
We encourage you  contribute so that we can continue to provide accessible engagement.
