The Couchiching Institute on Public Affairs is Canada’s oldest public affairs forum. As a “civil place to disagree”, we value openness, inclusion and engagement and believe Canadian democracy is strengthened by active participation in dialogue by people from all walks of life in the key national and international issues of our time.
Building Canadian democracy, one great conversation at a time.
Increase awareness, understanding and knowledge of domestic and international issues among people in Canada through open and inclusive dialogue without advocacy or partisanship.
We achieve this by hosting dynamic, policy-focused conversations in a range of forums and media that attract a diverse audience and encourage democratic participation across Canada. This includes our regular Conversations, our fundraising Gala, our signature Summer Conference and even through our monthly newsletter Couch Connects.
Partnerships with like-minded organizations help us expand our engagement and outreach; share audiences, participation and content, and achieve our vision.
Partnerships for our programs and events across Canada can be formal or informal; they can range from long-term to one-time or project-specific. Each partnership is as unique as the parties involved.
