The Big Picture 2013: The Spirit of the Summer Conference. Downtown
One night. Outstanding Canadians. Outstanding conversations.
The Couchiching Institute on Public Affairs and The Honourable John Manley, P.C., O.C. present The Big Picture.
The Big Picture, the Couchiching Institute’s annual gala dinner, brings the spirit of the storied summer conference downtown. No keynote; no prepared notes for a passive audience. The Big Picture puts the emphasis on interaction: small, intense discussions over dinner. At tables limited to eight (to ensure it’s a real conversation), each led by a prominent individual known for posing tough questions or provoking change, the event offers a rare opportunity to engage in lively, wide-ranging discussions on issues that matter. From "The Future of Canada’s Children" to "How Should Canada Consider Foreign Takeovers?", each table is it's own conversation. We are delighted that the Honourable John Manley will join us this year, and that he has, again, graciously agreed to act as chair for The Big Picture 2013.
The event attracts a cross-section of the kinds of people Couchiching excels at convening – business leaders, politicians, public servants, artists, entrepreneurs, academics – who are thoughtful, knowledgeable and passionate about issues.
NEW DATE: Join us THURSDAY APRIL 25, 2013 for The Big Picture
